In the wee hours of  Thursday, August 4 the Kenyan police intercepted three AK 47 rifles and 178 bullets. They belonged to a 26-year-old  former RECCE squad officer  who is suspected  to have been radicalised by the militant Islamic group al-Shabaab.

The weapons which were previously sewn inside a mattress, TUKO.co.ke has learnt, were recovered dumped away from the house in a sack near the Ruiru river.

The suspect reportedly dumped the weapons after learning that detectives were on his trail.
The suspect was identified in police documents as police constable Eric Gethi Kanyingi, Force Number 97861 who went AWOL from the RECCE squad in 2015.

Detectives  from the Ruiru police station carried out a raid of his Githurai 45 house at the dawn of Thursday, August 4, where they recovered  literature material that suggests that the former officer had been radicalised.

Part of the materials he was reading were newspaper excerpts of the WestGate  terror attack which claimed hundreds of lives- an attack that the al-Shabaab claimed responsibility.

The officers who conducted the raid told TUKO.co.ke that the former officer was previously sighted at the Riyadh Mosque which has been in the limelight for allegations radicalisation.

George Kinoti, the police spokesman has  said that officers had been deployed to hunt down  Kanyingi who is a well-known criminal.

The raid came in the wake of police reports that key officers in the Kenyan police force had been radicalised and were working in cahoots with criminals.

Last month, a radicalized officer opened fire on his colleagues at the Kapenguria Police Station killing 7 people in the 8-hour attack.

Isaiah The Old Testament Prophet Had Predicted The Death Of Muamar Gaddaffi Two Millenia Ago.

How The Prophet Isaiah Predicted The Death Of Colonel Muammar Gaddaffi Two Millenia Ago.

Isaiah The Prophet.

The cruel king has fallen! He will never oppress anyone again!5 The Lord has ended the power of the evil rulers6 who angrily oppressed the peoples and never stopped persecuting the nations they had conquered.7 Now at last the whole world enjoys rest and peace, and everyone sings for joy.8 The cypress trees and the cedars of Lebanon rejoice over the fallen king, because there is no one to cut them down, now that he is gone!

9 The world of the dead is getting ready to welcome the king of Babylon. The ghosts of those who were powerful on earth are stirring about. The ghosts of kings are rising from their thrones.10 They all call out to him,
Now you are as weak as we are! You are one of us!11 You used to be honored with the music of harps, but now here you are in the world of the dead. You lie on a bed of maggots and are covered with a blanket of worms.

12 (A)King of Babylon, bright morning star, you have fallen from heaven! In the past you conquered nations, but now you have been thrown to the ground.13 (B)You were determined to climb up to heaven and to place your throne above the highest stars. You thought you would sit like a king on that mountain in the north where the gods assemble.14 You said you would climb to the tops of the clouds and be like the Almighty.15 But instead, you have been brought down to the deepest part of the world of the dead.
16 The dead will stare and gape at you. They will ask,
Is this the man who shook the earth and made kingdoms tremble?17 Is this the man who destroyed cities and turned the world into a desert? Is this the man who never freed his prisoners or let them go home?

18 All the kings of the earth lie in their magnificent tombs,19 but you have no tomb, and your corpse is thrown out to rot. It is covered by the bodies of soldiers killed in battle, thrown with them into a rocky pit, and trampled down.20 Because you ruined your country and killed your own people, you will not be buried like other kings. None of your evil family will survive.21 Let the slaughter begin! The sons of this king will die because of their ancestors' sins. None of them will ever rule the earth or cover it with cities.

NB:-Please Feel Free To Replace The King Of Babylon In The Above Passage With The Very Dead King Of Libya Gaddaffi.

Isaiah 14:9-21

Medical Team Remove 12 Centimeter Pin From Man's Privates

A four-member medical team at the Tamale TeachingHospital on Saturday successfully removed a 12-centimeter safety-pin from the penis of a 32-year old man.

Safety Pin.

The team, comprising two doctors, an anaesthetist and a nurse, used a surgical procedure called ‘open ureterolithotomy,’ which lasted for about 30 minutes.
Dr. Akis Afoko, a surgeon/urologist, who led the operation, told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) in Tamale that for the sore to heal quickly the urinepassage had been diverted for a few days.
He said on September 12, the patient was admitted with the condition of a pin in his penis.
When asked about the cause, the patient, he said, initially said the pin was fixed in his bed spread but upon further query, he later confessed that he was masturbating with the safety pin.
Dr Afoko said the patient revealed that in the process of masturbating the pin moved deeper and close to the bladder.
He explained that the patient tried to get it out but the pin pierced the cavernous body, the opening of the genital.
Dr Afoko said the team also discovered that the patient was suffering from a psychological condition which needed immediate attention.
He advised those engaged in dangerous practices of masturbation to stop because they could end up impotent when their injuries were not properly treated.

The African Union Appoints Kenya's Premier Raila Amolo Odinga As Chief Mediator Of The Ivory Coast Electoral Crisis.

Prime Minister Raila Odinga wants the international community to coerce president of Ivory Coast Laurent Gbagbo out of power to avert a recurrence of a civil strife in the West African country.
Raila Amolo Odinga Chuma Liet Mar Laurent Gbagbo.
He asked the United Nation and The African Union to act decisively in forcing the incumbent president to concede defeat and relinquish power to opposition leader Alassane Ouattara who won the recent general polls.
"The United Nations African Union and Other International bodies and leaders have recognized that Mr. Ouattara as the winner. The next step must be to ensure that recognition translates into transfer of power" Odinga said.
He proposed to the international community to use all means including military intervention and sanctions to force Gbagbo to hand over power arguing that the trend was retrogressive to the democratic gains the continent had made.
The Premier told an international press conference at his office that a decision must be made urgently as the intended sanction may only be applicable after innocent civilians were killed or maimed in the ensuing power struggles and chaos.
Laurent Gbagbo
"The world Cannot Expect Gbagbo to act in the interest of democracy or to make a decision that favours his people when he defies a decision the citizen delivered through the ballot" he stressed.
Odinga expressed fears that the World might soon relapse into the coming Christmas festivities and forget the dilemma the Ivorians were facing and urged leaders to safeguard the interest of the civilians.
The Premier was reacting to reports to the effect that a civil war was looming large in Ivorian capital Abidjan after forces loyal to Defeated President Gbagbo opened fire on protesters.
Preliminary reports indicated that at least nine supporters of Opposition Leader Ouattara were shot dead after attempting to march to the head quarters of the state run television. KBC

Signs of the Times-Father Steals Daughter for Sexual Pleasure

Posted On // Leave a Comment
"Dad, I gave you maximum respect and unquestionable loyalty. I shielded you from ridicule and refused to expose your crimes. Now you have repaid me with misery! I still love you dad but you must get a little punishment for your crimes…"

Wairimu during the Interview with CCI
This is a message from a distraught 19-year-old Form Two student, Wairimu ** to her father, Simon Kimani Mithia. Her life is in shambles. She has suffered from manic depression and tried to take her life on several occasions, all because of her father.

Her cry represents a cry from a growing number of children sexually abused by their fathers and threatened with death if they reveal. Some of their mothers cover up the crimes to "protect the family."

Alarming statistics
The rate at which wayward fathers are sexually preying on their daughters has reached alarming levels.
Even with tough jail terms their acts go on unabated.
Director of Community Policing, Gender and Child Protection at police headquarters, Beatrice Nduta says the issue is degenerating into a national disaster.

She accuses the society and some members of the provincial administration of fuelling the crisis through cover-up.
"Parents are compromising on defilement against their children. Some chiefs and their assistants hold Kangaroo courts to fine the culprits goats and cows," she laments.

Head of the Gender Violence Recovery Centre at the Nairobi Women Hospital Lillian Kasina says last year, 79 cases of defilement by fathers were recorded at the facility.

She says the cases are rampant across the country adding that some people fear reporting. Central Province and Nairobi have more cases recorded.

She says mothers conspire and shield the fathers in the name of preserving the family’s image. The victims are told the family will suffer stigma, legal consequences and become a laughing stock.
Such was the case for Wairimu.

In 2004, shortly after sitting the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education at Thageini Primary School in Nyeri District, her trusted uncle introduced her to a man as her long lost father. She was overjoyed.

Her mother explains a point during the interview. The girl is about to deliver after she was allegedly impregnated by her father who has since gone into hiding. Photos: Jennifer Wachie /Standard

After 15 years without fatherly love, the man was now ready to shower her with good things.
"He promised to educate me and ensure that I never lacked anything. At first I was doubtful but my uncle convinced me pointing out our similar physical features," Wairimu recalls.

When the girl’s mother, Bilha Wangui heard about this visit, she was livid.

"He stole into our life like a thief in the night. Before I knew it, my daughter’s head was running wild," Wangui says.

Kimani had married Wangui in 1989 but the marriage failed after one year leaving her with an eight-month-old baby Wairimu.

She educated her until she was 15-years-old when the father came back to her life while she was at Kirigiti Rehabilitation Centre.

She had been taken to Kirigiti through a court order to repeat Standard Seven after her mother complained she was disobeying her.

"My uncle came to school accompanied by Kimani. He convinced me Kimani was my father and he took me for shopping in Kiambu town," the girl recalls.

But she never returned to school as she went away with the "father".

"I learnt that my former husband had fetched her from school. How could he come after all these years to destabilise her life? I marched to his home in Kagaa," recalls the girl’s mother.
After a clan meeting, the mother was advised there was nothing wrong with the father reuniting with his long lost daughter — his only child. After all she was going to be enrolled at the nearby Kagaa Secondary School.
But the mother cringes with horror at the mention of Kagaa, where she was swept off her feet by Kimani in 1989, made a wife, a mother and later left on her own.

Wairimu went through Form One without difficulties but in January while in Form Two, Wangui was summoned by the school administration. "They told me my daughter had collapsed. I rushed there and found she had recovered," she says.

The girl explains that after collapsing, she was taken to Kagaa clinic by her father and relatives.
Further tests were conducted which brought out a well-kept family secret. Wairimu was now pregnant.

Unapologetic father
Earlier, Kimani’s uncle Cyrus Njuru had confronted him for taking his daughter to bars.
"I told him he was introducing her to immorality. We held a family crisis meeting but Kimani was unapologetic," Njuru told CCI.

When the tests were out, the father was dumbstruck.

"At first he wanted me to implicate any young man I could think off. There was no way I was going to testify against anybody else. My father threatened violence but I held my ground," the girl recalls.
The girl recounts how a steamy affair had developed in which she had little say.

"I was staying with my grandmother but my father demanded that I join him in his house. He argued that the house had two bedrooms," explains Wairimu. She claims that one night in January, he returned home drunk and started pestering her.

"When I resisted, he grabbed the pruning knife and threatened to slash my throat if I denied him sexual pleasures. He took advantage of me," the girl says.

Wairimu says she was too ashamed to confide even in her grandmother. She respected the father too much to expose him.

The father repeated the assault a few days later.

"Later he suddenly lost interest in me. He became rude and appeared reluctant to pay my school fees. And when he learnt that I was expectant, he begged me not to abort," she adds.
Later she mysteriously disappeared from the village with the father.

"The principal called me to ask about her whereabouts. I told him she was supposed to be at school. When I later went to Kimani’s home, I was informed he had left with my daughter to an unknown destination," the mother says.
"I know Kimani was living in the same house with his daughter although there was no other person. I received reports that he was sleeping with his daughter but later fled when the girl became pregnant," Kamburu Location chief, Kariuki Kaniu told CCI.

"The father has gone into hiding. We believe he is in Ongata Rongai," Githunguri Officer Commanding Police Station, Kingsford Nyaga said.

"Once the medical records and the P3 form are filled, we will liaise with police in Ongata Rongai to arrest the suspect. We will then use DNA tests to establish whether the man and the girl are related and the fatherhood of the unborn child," the OCS added.

Kimani’s mother, Rahab Nduta was scandalised when we broached the subject: "What you are asking is taboo. I cannot bring myself to talk about it. I do not know who impregnated her. What you are asking me is unspeakable," the agitated grandmother added.

She, however, confirmed that the girl was her granddaughter and that her son had migrated to unknown place.
The Good Samaritan who picked the abandoned girl in Kitengela and who requested not to be identified says: "It was a big burden. I was afraid the girl would deliver in my home and complicate my life. That is why I searched for her mother."

Wairimu says Kimani left her taking a soda outside a shop.

Paedophiles on the prowl
Pedophiles and serial rapists have been on the prowl in parts of Kiambu District leaving shattered lives and tormented souls.

In September 2007, citizens, human rights groups and members of provincial administration held demonstrations to protest the rising cases of sexual violence against children.

Githiga Location Chief, Grace Nduta recalls how she personally participated in the demonstrations urging the people to expose ‘the beasts.’ "I am a chief, and a mother. I get distressed when I hear that somebody has been sexually violated. This is an evil we must all join forces to eliminate," she says.

"At the height of this orgy of violence, we could receive as many as three cases a day. The suffering was too much," recalls Paul Kamau Mwangi of Human Rights Community Bridge.

Kamau’s organisation helped in the arrest and prosecution of eight suspects who had been brutalising their own daughters in Githunguri Division.

"Out of the seven fathers who had been arrested for defiling their daughters, two were handed life sentences. A third is serving 10 years in jail," Kamau says.

In the same district, a HIV infected woman was arrested for recruiting pupils into group sex orgies.
In a case that shocked local residents, the woman from Komothai paired the young girls with adults mainly matatu and lorry drivers.

Outraged parents led police in raiding the premises last year where pornographic material was seized and the suspect arrested.

GSU Menacing Innocent Kenyan Kuria Citizens

HAWA WATU GSU SI WAWACHANE NA WAKURIA WETU

Villagers took to their heels and hid behind shops as our car rolled into Ntimaru market in Kuria District. They mistook it for a police car because in this dusty outpost, every drone of a motor vehicle spells terror.
A few brave men walked back to confirm who we were.

"Ooh, we thought you were GSU (General Service Unit)," said Mr Mwita Marwa, a tinsmith who has closed his workshop for fear of attack by the security officers.

The previous night, a contingent of GSU officers had raided the market in search of suspected criminals.

Dreaded unit

Officers of the dreaded para-military unit had been brought into Kuria East District a few weeks before to flush out cattle rustlers after Internal Security Minister George Saitoti toured the area. There had been tension along the Kuria East/Trans-Mara border.
Cattle rustling in the district had sparked inter-clan battles that have spilled into the neighbouring Trans Mara and even Tanzania.

Observers claim politicians have fuelled inter-clan differences.
"Some politicians can only survive when clans fight," said Mr Chacha Maoga, a Kuria resident who works in Kisumu.

Villagers now say that the GSU personnel, who were brought in to restore peace and root out criminals, have turned against innocent people.

Many villagers had fled their homes by last week to seek refuge in Tanzania. Markets were deserted and some villagers said they were starving because they feared venturing out to look for food.
In Wangira Bose centre, the GSU men allegedly broke into shops and raped three women.Others bear bruises allegedly inflicted by the officers.

Women said they were beaten to force them to reveal their husbands’ whereabouts.
According to Mrs Beatrice Maroa, a resident, the operation should have targeted suspects, not the entire district.
When the officers drove through the villages to Tharakagai chief’s camp where they put up a tent, locals believed they would provide a lasting solution to insecurity and cattle rustling.

But they turned into a nightmare when they started their operation by causing fear and panic among residents. Shops remained closed and parents could not let their children go to school for fear of the officers.

Area OCPD Paul Wanjama said the officers were deployed to the area to deal with cattle rustling.
"Police have not received complains of rape. We will act if such cases are reported," he added.

He advised those who feared reporting to the local police stations to do so at any other station.
He defended GSU officers’ decision to break doors, saying criminals used such premises as hideouts.
Prof Saitoti who visited the area on January 30 ordered the deployment of the officers after residents complained about cattle rustling and other criminal activities. Saitoti reiterated the Government’s commitment to provide security to citizens.

Broke into shops

On February 2 the officers started the operation at Kwitembe shopping centre in broad daylight where they broke into shops and beat up owners claiming they were searching for firearms. The following day, residents claim they moved to Mashagwe market and subjected residents to similar treatment. They allegedly robbed traders of more than Sh450,000.
Women narrated terrifying ordeals at the hands of the GSU personnel to The Standard and KTN team, who visited the area. Three women were allegedly raped at Wangira Bose, five at Kwitembe and one at Mashangwe trading centres. A 12-year-old schoolgirl, who was treated at a Migori hospital, is among those who were allegedly raped.

Another victim, a woman, claimed she was raped as her six-year-old son watched. They then robbed her of some Sh2,000.

Raped in broad daylight

Some said they were ambushed along the road in broad daylight and ordered to remove their clothes before the officers raped them in turns. Others were raped as their family members watched.

Mr Paul Moseti, the chairman of Wangira Bose Traders Association who operates a butchery claimed he lost Sh200,000.
"I had closed the shop, but they broke the door and gained entry ," he claimed.

Moseti added that his worker who was beaten up has gone missing since then. Mrs Robby Chuma and Mr Baringe Philemon claimed they lost Sh100,000 each to the officers.

He added that although they welcomed Government’s intervention, residents’ rights should not be violated in the process.
But the OCPD said residents should not expect the security personnel to laugh with them when they harboured known criminals.

"They host the criminals who they know well. They should not complain," he added. According to DC Hamman Mshambi, it is the area residents who asked the Government to carry out the operation.

"They gave us the names of the suspects and we are going after them. The operation was not a blanket one, but was specific on the names given to us," Mshambi told The Standard.

He ruled out the possibility that some names could have been given by their enemies.
"It is true some could just give the names due to personal vendetta," Mshambi acknowledged when asked, but added that when a name appeared more than 20 times, then the man definitely had a case to answer.

Residents against idea

Kehancha Mayor Sigano Murimi, however, disputes the DC’s sentiments.
"No civilian can ask for GSU operation in their area," Mr Sigano said, adding that the Government decided on the operation and residents had nothing to do with it.
Most victims said they had not reported to the police for fear of being arrested.
"The rape victims in Wangira Bose have vowed never to report to the police. Last year, we asked for a police post to provide security, but if one was built today, nobody will remain here," said Pastor William Mwita of Deliverance Church. Standard

You Are 80,000 Years Older Than You Thought ,Homo Sapiens.

Posted On // Leave a Comment

Modern humans may have evolved more than 80,000 years earlier than previously thought, according to a new study of sophisticated stone tools found in Ethiopia.

The tools were uncovered in the 1970s at the archaeological site of Gademotta, in the Ethiopian Rift Valley. But it was not until this year that new dating techniques revealed the tools to be far older than the oldest known Homo sapien bones, which are around 195,000 years old.

Using argon-argon dating—a technique that compares different isotopes of the element argon—researchers determined that the volcanic ash layers entombing the tools at Gademotta date back at least 276,000 years.

Many of the tools found are small blades, made using a technique that is thought to require complex cognitive abilities and nimble fingers, according to study co-author and Berkeley Geochronology Center director Paul Renne.

Some archaeologists believe that these tools and similar ones found elsewhere are associated with the emergence of the modern human species, Homo sapiens.

"It seems that we were technologically more advanced at an earlier time that we had previously thought," said study co-author Leah Morgan, from the University of California, Berkeley.

The findings are published in the December issue of the journal Geology.

Desirable Location

Gademotta was an attractive place for people to settle, due to its close proximity to fresh water in Lake Ziway and access to a source of hard, black volcanic glass, known as obsidian.

"Due to its lack of crystalline structure, obsidian glass is one of the best raw materials to use for making tools," Morgan explained.

In many parts of the world, archaeologists see a leap around 300,000 years ago in Stone Age technology from the large and crude hand-axes and picks of the so-called Acheulean period to the more delicate and diverse points and blades of the Middle Stone Age.

At other sites in Ethiopia, such as Herto in the Afar region northeast of Gademotta, the transition does not occur until much later, around 160,000 years ago, according to argon dating. This variety in dates supports the idea of a gradual transition in technology.
"A modern analogy might be the transition from ox-carts to automobiles, which is virtually complete in North America and northern Europe, but is still underway in the developing world," said study co-author Renne, who received funding for the Gadmotta analysis from the National Geographic Society's Committee for Research and Exploration. (The National Geographic Society owns National Geographic News.)

Morgan, of UC Berkeley, speculates that the readily available obsidian at Gademotta may explain why the technological revolution occurred so early there.

Complicated family tree

The lack of bones at Gademotta makes it difficult to determine who made these specialist tools. Some archaeologists believe it had to be Homo sapiens, while other experts think that other human species may have had the required mental capability and manual dexterity.

Regardless of who made the tools, the dates help to fill a key gap in the archaeological record, according to some experts.

"The new dates from Gademotta help us to understand the timing of an important behavioral change in human evolution," said Christian Tryon, a professor of anthropology from New York University, who wasn't involved in the study.

If anything, the story has now become more complex, added Laura Basell, an archaeologist at the University of Oxford in the U.K.

"The new date for Gademotta changes how we think about human evolution, because it shows how much more complicated the situation is than we previously thought," Basell said.

"It is not possible to simply associate specific species with particular technologies and plot them in a line from archaic to modern.
